Parents if you have a child who will be entering
Kindergarten in the Fall and if you live within one of the school
readiness’ school districts, your child may be eligible to attend
the Summer Kinder Academy.

What is Summer
Kinder Academy?
The Academy is a 4 week,
4 hours per day learning experience that introduces a child to the
kinder classroom environment. Children are exposed to an actual
classroom setting and are taught entry-level skills in social and
academic development. The classes are taught by a State of
California Certificated Teacher (in many cases the academy teacher
may be your child’s teacher in the Fall). Each of the school
districts set the dates for the Academy, which is normally a week after the current school year. |

Who is eligible?
**the
Academy is free to children who will be entering Kindergarten in Fall;
and
**will
attend Kindergarten at one of the designated School Readiness Schools. |
